Alberta Medical Association president Dr Paul Parks announces that 61% of family physicians are considering leaving Alberta, with less than one in four indicating they can financially sustain another year in Alberta.
The data comes from an AMA report indicating that 91% of family doctors are “concerned” about their finances, with one in five saying they’re unlikely to make it past the next six months.
