Makis is invited to the UCP-organized “An Injection of Truth” “town hall” later this month.

Originally described as an “Edmonton based ER doctor” until Alberta Health strongly asserted otherwise, Dr. William Makis (sometimes written Viliam Makis)  is set to appear in Calgary on June 17th alongside a number of other medically-described individuals that one might charitably describe as “controversial”.

In the 2023 finding where Makis is deemed a vexatious litigant, it’s clear this is a frequent tactic of his:

The Court also found Dr Makis’ affidavits […] improperly identified third parties’ medical information and alleged criminal and legal wrongdoing by an AHS executive

Makis v Alberta Health Services, 2023 ABCA 214

Makis’s Twitter feed appears to consist of postings of conspiratorial buzzwords (turbo cancer is a favourite), obituaries from people he claims were killed by vaccines, and official-looking papers he’s written about how you can cure cancer by fasting.
