The plaintiffs are seeking $125 million claiming violations regarding overtime payments, rest periods and 12-hour shift lengths.
This is possibly related to a proposed class-action lawsuit from last September involving clinical assistants and clinical surgical assistants. These are fully-trained but not-quite-Canadian-certified doctors claiming a number of issues, including lack of overtime payments, and up to 24-hour shifts.
