Citing “rural concerns”, the UCP announces a moratorium on renewable energy projects in Alberta.
The change was done without consulting businesses in the thriving green energy sector, and doesn’t affect the equally-or-more-problematic oil sector. The UCP government cites receiving a letter from the Alberta Utilities Commission requesting such, but this does not appear to be the case.
