Patients are being kept on stretchers in waiting rooms – EMS ambulance technicians are required to maintain 30 min times by leaving patients in ERs, whether there’s someone able to care for them there or not.
In case anyone is wondering, the overcrowding in our EDs is NOT better, it’s only worse.
Look at these numbers from today: MIS has 47 EIPs, it’s FUNDED bed base is 47! EVERY SINGLE ED stretcher is occupied by a very sick pt who should be on a ward in hosp.Pts are suffering!
