Alberta Municipalities vote 86% to keep using electronic vote counters

Costs to be borne by localities, Smith not changing her mind.

This despite her reasons being conspiratorial, and the change to cost municipalities millions.  (Edmonton’s costs are up 480%).  Smith was initially publicly vague about the province contributing against the extra cost, but Ric McIver was later firm: that won’t happen.
