According to Statistics Canada, Alberta ranks last among provinces by a significant margin in per-student spending.
This according to a media release by the Alberta Teachers Association
At current exchange rates, $11,601 CAD is ~$8,500 USD. Looking at 2024 US public education spending statistics, this is well below every single U.S. state, meaning Alberta spends less than even Alabama, Tennessee, or Idaho on children’s education.
