Minister Schow demands to know
Bill 29 (dubbed the “Fairness and Safety in Sport Act”) was introduced at the end of October. Per the bill text, it requires any school, “Francophone regional authority”, academic institution, provincial sports organization, or other, to contact the Minister of Tourism and Sport (currently Joseph Schow), regarding:
(b) requests for the establishment of mixed-gender or
mixed-sex leagues, classes or divisions;
(c) the establishment of mixed-gender or mixed-sex leagues,
classes or divisions;
(d) other matters prescribed by the regulations.(2) The information referred to in subsection (1) must be provided
in the form and manner required by the Minister.

What exactly Schow is doing with the information, and how precisely the reporting requirements encourage “Fairness and Safety” isn’t described.
