The UCP announce that Tany Yao is the new candidate for Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo.
As incumbent, Yao had lost the UCP nomination vote to Zulkifl Mujahid, but is back due to the latter resigning after being named in various court proceedings. Yao was previously notable as being one of a half-dozen UCP members to travel outside of Canada which provincial regulations regarding Covid recommended against at the time.
