UCP pass an update to the Alberta Conflicts of Interest Act, removing the 200$ limit on individual gifts MLAs can receive. The amendment also prevents the ethics commissioner from investigating during an election. (Danielle Smith was determined during the runup to the 2023 election to have broken ethics rules by attempting to have her Justice minister drop charges against a protester).
